This company is absolutely terrible

We had our 6.6kw system installed April 2020 linked up to a 5kw Solis Inverter. Things were great for the first few months and then from Oct/Nov onwards the electricity bills started getting larger again. We looked at own usage before complaining and of course they were not open over Christmas...or so we though because no one ever answers their phones at Sunboost. Our Ergon bills have rose and rose to now what they were before having the panels put on, without any change in routine, except we now also have the extra loan payments for our part of the cost. Our system at the moment is generating a terrible weak 78w, it should be somewhere between 3000w to 5000w depending on the weather conditions.......not 78w. They do not believe their system is a problem. Clearly it is an Inverter problem. There has been a "Technician" out twice who has checked that the panels are fine and he has said it is an Inverter problem. Since January when we thought they would be back from their Christmas break we contacted them and have been given lip service since...be patient.....we are trying our best...we have to try and arrange for a Technician...etc etc. There is no urgency with this company once they have your money. We have continually been trying to contact Sunboost at Suit 2/Level 1, 65 Doody St, Alexandria NSW 2015 but they avoid direct calls and only answer when convenient or by email. Today for example, we tried to contact [Name Removed], but she as usual was conveniently out of the office. My wife went to the 1300 number and managed to track down [Name Removed] who promised to follow it up and get back within half and hour. Guess what.. no call.. just the same lip service from Sunboost. Prospective clients...DO NOT TOUCH SUNBOOST

WARNING - very bad experience with Sunboost

During the installation process my Makita cordless drill (located in a locked garage on a workbench 1 meter away from where the inverter was installed) went missing. Sunboost was not interested. It made for a very unpleasant experience.

Very Poor Customer Service

On Dec 15th I ordered a Sunboost solar system and was told it would be installed by the end of Jan. I have contacted Sunboost by phone and sent several messages. Over the phone I was told by them ([Name Removed]) that they would call back. On Jan 28th they said they would call back within 48 hours and yesterday was told by [Name Removed] he would definitely ring me back that day. I have still not heard from them. I have been at all times polite, simply trying to get some idea when the solar is going to be installed. They are constantly ringing when they are selling you a system but do not seem to care about you once the deposit has been paid. My Order Number is SB197891 So please don't ask for it, pretending that you are dealing with my case!

Will not fix the damage

Install = was ok apart from the inverter is way to high to read it. Damage = leaving rivet ends all over the driveway to puncture tyres and a huge burnout mark on my brand new driveway. Refused to fix it. Installer said it wasn't them but my CCTV and a witness said otherwise . Been arguing for a month now to have it cleaned as [Name Removed] passed the buck to management who pass the buck to the installer and round again and again. I will never be using this company ever again. Just wait until a better company has a special on. Plus I wanted a 6kw & only got 5.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

This is one of the worst companies I have EVER dealt with. Their workmanship is SO bad, I am shocked they are still in business. I had so much damage done to my roof it was some of the worst work I have ever seen undertaken. The company then pushes you between different people, who promise to call back, but never do. The issues are not sorted and I have now had to threaten legal action. Broken tiles, second hard parts, damage to my roof, water pouring through my ceiling damaging electrics, flooring, insulation, ceilings, lights and possibly more. They told my Electricity Company a different inverter was installed and despite endless requests they won�t rectify this. Don�t expect any assistance from their �customer service� staff! They are rude and arrogant, repeatedly talk over you and don�t provide any assistance or resolutions. I will be pursuing this company for every cent of damage they have done to my property, which I am expecting to be in the thousands.

Firstly, if this review is for the service from Jenny when assisting with my support call on the 7th of January, then no issues and her service was great. The installation process itself has been far from the same. Firstly at the time of installation, 2 panels were taken away as they would not fit on the roof. Had I not seen them being returned, then I�m not sure that I would have known or been refunded. Even head office were not aware until I advised them. Subsequent to this, there was no contact from Sunboost to my electricity supplier after 2 weeks. I needed to organise this myself. 3 weeks from installation, I was asked to provide photos of the installation to allow for the claim of government rebates. This involved me needing to climb on my roof. I�m not sure why I needed to do this when the installers could have taken these. When the net meter had been installed. There was little or no guidance on what to do next, I had to google it to find out. Even more annoying was the fact that the wifi connectors had been left in bags on the floor in my garden. I had to install these myself and again, google search to work out how to connect them. Had I not being somewhat IT savvy, this would not have been possible. Subsequent to me turning the system on myself, I had over voltage errors on the inverters. After calling your support department (again, Jenny was great), it turned out that voltage needed to be set on the inverters. Again, something that should have been organised by Sunboost. Extremely dissatisfied with the end to end process for the installation. I will not recommend Sunboost considering the very poor post installation support.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY

As per many negative reviews this company has them at the end of their reviews on there website. This call centre isn�t in Australia and you will get hassled by someone who appears to be in India. Be prepared to be hassled!! Take your deposit and you have to fight with them to get it back or cancel your quote. They do not know what they are doing and are India sales people not experts. They sent photos of a layout for solar panels that wasn�t my house!!! They use Australian sports people but DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!

Didn't go with Sunboost in the end as I was sick of being harassed! Brett form Sunboost (not sure where this call centre is but doubt its Australia as accents are thick!) called at least once a day. When I refused to answer the calls he changed his number to private. Even when I told him to please not call me and that we had decided not to proceed he still kept calling. I hung up on him numerous times! We actually paid more and went with another local company who weren't harassing us and who seemed to know what they were talking about in regards to installation etc rather than doing an intense sales pitch!
