Would not recommend Sunboost

Advised I needed over three thousand dollars worth of electrical works on meter - an honest electrician told me this was incorrect - subsequently panels installed without drama! Booking in guy, exceptionally rude, to the point I advised I would not, under any circumstances have any more conversations with him, I asked a question, which he did not like, then offered to refund my deposit, every subsequent conversation he was insisting I accept my deposit back.Lots of other things too, my time is precious so I'm limiting to the salient points. Took well over twelve months to get sorted, which was partly my fault, however, many months before installation took place, there was an installation guy close by who could have come and inspected my roof, this was communicated to Sunboost, but this did not occur, (I live in a remote area), then on the day of installation, I receive a call asking for $400 more!!! I have paid in full, no credit, then they want more.Reason for additional $400??? My roof is too small! In reality, the space taken by the panels has covered perhaps half of my roof space. My certificates/warranties will not be issued until paid.The installation guys were lovely.

Terrible - Lack of professionalism is concerning

Hi there,I wish to express my disappointment regarding the recent installation of solar panels by Sunboost. After the installation, I noted some significant issues that need urgent attention and resolution.Firstly, I observed that the Sunboost installers relocated my whirlybird to a different spot on my roof without seeking my approval or consent. Not only was this a breach of proper procedure, but the whirlybird was also placed incorrectly, leaving it crooked or angled. This lack of professionalism is concerning.Secondly, after the installers returned to repair the whirlybird, a photo sent by Sunboost revealed a cracked roof tile in the corner next to the whirlybird. This raises serious concerns about the quality of workmanship and attention to detail during the installation process.Despite my attempts to contact Sunboost via multiple emails and phone calls, I have not received any response regarding plans to rectify these issues. I have clearly mentioned my expectations, including the need for a qualified team to promptly rectify the cracked roof tile and conduct a thorough inspection of the entire roof area near the panels to identify and address any other damaged tiles. I have spare roof tiles available for this purpose.It is crucial to address these concerns promptly, as damaged roof tiles can pose a potential risk to the property, including water leakage, compromising the safety and integrity of the structure.I urge Sunboost to prioritize and expedite a resolution to this matter. I expect Sunboost to provide a comprehensive and satisfactory plan to rectify these issues and ensure the installation meets the expected standards.Your prompt attention to this matter is highly appreciated. Absoloutely disgusting customer service and after sales communication. Constantly chasing them to deal with a fault for eight months and they tried to put the blame on Tesla or me then had the gall to offer me an upgraded battery for $12000. Tesla confirmed their invertor was at fault which caused the battery to fail; however, I've heard nothing from them since. No empathy for their customers and just after more sales and profit. Abysmal customer care.

Dangerous and a fire hazard, after sales and warranty support appalling.

Sunboost would have to be the worst company I have dealt with for after sales and warranty issues. The connectors from the panels to inverter shorted out and melted as per photos. They are an Indian based call centre that will do what they can to not repair/replace the damaged faulty poor quality parts. I was told that due to not having the system serviced every 2 years (Its 2.5yes old) the warranty could be void. Apparently this information is on the quote, however I reviewed the quote and could not locate this information. My electrician is a relative of mine and was contacted by Sunboost after he sent his report to them and was instructed to only replace the damaged connectors and not inspect or test or replace any of the others and that they would deal with the client.Sunboost are all about saving money and have very little to no regard for the safety / potential fire risk and human life. I asked to be provided with the name and phone number to speak to someone in Australia, was told this was not possible and someone would call me from Australia.....next thing I get a call from a mobile claiming to be in Australia, same Indian voice I have spoke with at the call centre. I called them out on this and they hung up. They are nothing but difficult, deceitful and cheap.I would not use Sunboost if they were the last solar company on the planet.

Not a very professional company

Have emailed them requesting information as to what brand of batteries they use. The few replies I got was send them my phone number to arrange a quote. I don't want a quote until I know what brand of batteries they use. As my email was in plain simple English I can only surmise that the are based in Asia and don't understand english

RUN AWAY VERY FAST FROM SUNBOOST !

Our experience was very poor, from day 1 until installation. It is clear they have no idea about customer relations. We were harrassed.by phone and email multiple times a day to pay the deposit, once paid it stopped.We were told to send a photo of our electricity box then were told all was ok and we could proceed.The day after installation we were told to turn off our solar and not use it until the electricity company had come out and installed a smart meter, and it could take up to 2 weeks. When I questioned why we were not told this, I was informed by one of the males to sit down, be quiet, and wait for the electricity company, totally like I was beneath him. Disgusting.It is their responsibility to make customers aware of everything before installation, every single thing ! They are very difficult to deal with and I wish we had of done a bit more research before going ahead. They are dodgy with a capital D ! Buyer beware !The only thing that went to plan easily was the actual installation, those boys were great. The before and after sales service is very very bad.

Contradictory

Got a quote off these guys and was told could only fit 15 panels, ie: 6.225 Kw system. Cost was $4000 Saw an on TV that same night for a 16 panel system, 6.6 Kw for $3891.Rip-off. Was also told he would ring back in a week to catch up and he didn't bother. Obviously couldn't be bothered it seems. Won't be using this company.

Dodgy

Signed up for a 20 kW system a few months back. They never contacted me after that. I called multiple times to get my dates Finally someone arrived and said they could only fit 7kw of the system. They are dodgy and not compliant.

Service sunboostsystem

I think the servicing of the sunboost 6.6kw system is not worth it I paid $600 The service guy was 2 hours late He was at my place for only (47mins) He Didn't even clean the panels very well Only saw him use water So if they send an sms saying your system needs a service Tell them NO WAY.
